Private Museum Tours For Families With Kids
Our “Little Hackers” Program Is Fun For All Ages
Museum Hack offers “unconventional” museum tours, where we explore the fun side of museums. One of our favourite tours is Little Hackers, which is a private tour designed specifically for families with children aged 13 and under (older children will have more fun on one of our other tours). We offer these tours at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the American Museum of Natural History in NYC.
Take Your Family On a Museum Adventure
When you take your family on a Museum Hack tour you are investing in a specialized service. We work hard to develop tours that are family friendly and include activities and stories that are fun for both children and their adults.
On your tour you will explore and discover. This includes games, exercise breaks and taking funny photos together. The result? Our tours are fun AND educational -- and we know how to keep your child’s attention.
Our tours include games that keep your family engaged.
We will setup the shot and help you take great photos with the artifacts.
Our tours are optimized for small bladders so you won't miss a thing.
What parents are saying about us:
Totally fun way to explore the museum! Our guide, Kate, was relevant, fun, vervy, and eloquent. We were a three generation group (teens, Mom, and Grandmother), and Kate appealed to each of us, making the Museum Hack an excellent family activity.
The Little Hackers tour was AWESOME, FANTASTIC, or maybe I should say it was SUPERCALIFRAGILISTIC!!! The little hackers loved every bit of their special tour. It was perfect. They did not get bored, hungry or tired. They absorbed every word their two guides spoke. I really don’t know how you guys do this, but we are all really impressed. It’s official now, I’m in love with Museum Hack (and the Met as a result!)
I am such a HUGE fan of Museum Hack. We had a great time. Harry was so wonderful with kids and adults and we all got a great deal out of it. I had a dinner Saturday night (fundraiser out in Westchester); told pretty much everyone about our tour and have sent your link to several folks already. I’ll make sure to follow up with our corporate strategy and nex-gen folks; also speaking with colleagues who might use it for offsites. Tons of application for what you are building.
Things to Know Before Your Tour
Our journey will last around 2 hours. This gives us ample time for little legs to walk at a leisurely pace while still providing a fun and rich experience.
Please make sure our Little Hackers are fed before their journey, as there is no outside food or drink allowed in the Met. Bottles of water are permitted.
Please be sure to have a bathroom break before our journey. Plenty of other opportunities will be provided during our tour but we want your family comfortable.
Parents must remain with their children at all times and are encouraged to participate. The tour guides are present to provide a safe, positive, and fun learning environment.
We’ll cover Museum behavior expectations briefly, but we want to ensure parents and Little Hackers are aware of the rules: no touching artwork, no running, and no screaming.
