Museum Hack’s Year In Review 2016

Renegade Tours

2016 was a big year…

We now have ongoing public tours at five awesome museums in four major cities:

  • New York City
  • San Francisco
  • Chicago
  • Washington DC

And this year over 18,200 guests came on intimate, private tours with us.

We lead 502 team building tours for companies like Google, Facebook, Chipotle, Dannon & Eilzabeth Arden.

319+ private museum tours for bachelorette parties, families, and friends.

26 guests got hitched on our marriage proposal tours.

And our Pokemon Tours of the Met were a big hit…

Altogether our guides walked over 3,526 miles in museums. That’s the distance from New York City to London, England.

But we do more than just renegade museum tours…

Our Audience Development team lead engagement workshops at 56+ museums, hosted 6 bootcamps at the Metropolitan Museum of Art — empowering museum professionals from around the world with tools like the 5 Elements of a Hack.

We created custom experiences for innovative companies and THEIR customers. E.G., an in-store scavenger hunt for customers at Bloomingdale’s flagship store in NYC.

Our team grew to 52 people in 4 countries.

Pssst, we are hiring a sales manager.

We earned media coverage.

Reached 1,782 Five Star Reviews On Trip Advisor, Yelp, & other platforms.

And we directly gave $250,000 to our museum partners in admissions and other revenue.

We believe museums are f***ing awesome!
