Today, we’re talking to Christine, one of our hard-working and incredible team members! Chances are, if you send us an email, you may end up chatting with Christine for a bit. Read on to find out how she went from being a fan of museums to “hacking” them with us.
Museum Hack: Why did you apply to work with Museum Hack?
Christine: The job post alone was well-written, inviting and piqued my interest… As I read through the job posting, this stood out to me: “Most of our Customer Service Representatives stay with the company for years, and move up to do really exciting things with us.” This is awesome! I then visited the site…. first and foremost, the live action video of the smiles, high fives, engagement and overall ‘feel” led me to “Wow! This company culture cares about their public & employees!” This was evident on the job posting and site.
Museum Hack: Tell us about one of your favorite Museum Hack experiences.
Christine: Aside from meeting some really smart, welcoming, creative and friendly people, I appreciate the one on one call with Tasia and Carly the first day I came on board, and the one on one calls with Nick and Michael shortly after my firstst day. That says a lot, again, about the culture. What other company does this where the top level executives take time to sit and chat with you? In all of my career years, I can only name one (!) other company who just recently started doing this. Thank you!
Museum Hack: What’s a fun fact that most people don’t know about you?
Christine: I lived in Guadalajara, Mexico for 5 years! Loved it!
Museum Hack: If you had to be trapped in the Museum overnight, what would you do?
Christine: I would explore the different exhibits and take time at each. Oftentimes, as a visitor, one tends to rush through & not fully immerse themselves in the experience. Assuming I have a stable wifi connection, I would research as I go through the different exhibits and learn about each and every one… I mean, I do have all night, right? 😉
Museum Hack: If you could work at any other museum, which one would you choose?
Christine: The Met & Louvre! I have never been but I definitely know I would love them!
Museum Hack: If you were to be reincarnated as an animal, which would it be and why?
Christine: A bird! I would fly and see the world. =)
