Kate is one of our fantastic San Francisco tour guides! Read on to find out why she spent ten years being thrown into the air and what kind of sea creature she wants in her dream home.
MH: Why did you apply to work with Museum Hack?
Kate: I applied because it sounded like a really fun job and I have always loved museums. But once I heard Museum Hack’s non-traditional style and disruptive mission, I was hooked and inspired.
MH: Tell us about one of your favorite Museum Hack experiences.
Kate: Oh man, there are a lot of those. One that happened recently was with a woman who said she normally doesn’t do museums because she has a bad back and it ends up hurting her too much, but she said this was the first tour where she felt no pain…I almost burst into tears.
MH: What’s a fun fact that most people don’t know about you?
Kate: I was a competitive cheerleader for over 10 years, the one they threw in the air.
MH: If you had to be trapped in the Museum overnight, what would you do?
Kate: TALK AS LOUD AS I WANT!
MH: If you could work at any museum, which one would you choose?
Kate: The Monterey Bay Aquarium, I remember going as a kid and being in awe of this unseen world. It also explains my next answer.
MH: If you were to be reincarnated as an animal, which would it be and why?
Kate: Any kind of jellyfish, they are the most beautiful creatures on this planet!! When I win the lotto, my dream house will have an entire wall as one giant jellyfish tank.
