Meet Jim, one of our fantastic rockstar tour guides in New York City!
Museum Hack: Why did you apply to work with Museum Hack?
Jim: My friend worked here and would frequently brag about it being the best job he’d ever had. I can see exactly what he meant! Getting to share my favourite pieces in the best museum in the greatest city in the world? Yes please.
Museum Hack: Tell us about one of your favorite Museum Hack experiences.
Jim: I don’t play favourites – every moment on a Museum Hack tour is a unique snowflake of unbridled joy.
Museum Hack: What’s a fun fact that most people don’t know about you?
Jim: You know how sometimes – usually when you’re really hungry – you’ll let loose a fine spray of saliva from under your tongue? Some people call it gleeking. I can do that on command. Don’t ask me to unless you really want to see it.
Museum Hack: If you had to be trapped in the Museum overnight, what would you do?
Jim: Try on ALL the armor! Then demonstrate a fundamental misunderstanding by attempting to make an omelette out of Faberge eggs.
Museum Hack: If you could work at any museum, which one would you choose?
Jim: Either the Brooklyn Museum because apart from how great the place is, I could walk to work; or Chi Chu on Naoshima in Japan – it only has 3 exhibits, but they’re humdingers.
Museum Hack: If you were to be reincarnated as an animal, which would it be and why?
Jim: There’s a fluffy corgi on Instagram called Mochee which I highly recommend you follow. His life looks pretty damn sweet and I’d like to take a crack at it.
