Meet Jackie Madejski! Jackie is one of our incredible tour guides in DC, operating out of the National Gallery of Art and National Portrait Gallery.
Museum Hack: Why did you apply to work with Museum Hack?
Jackie: I applied to Museum Hack because I liked the idea that I could get paid to goof around in a museum. It’s a lot more fun doing that than waiting tables.
Museum Hack: Tell us about one of your favorite Museum Hack experiences.
Jackie: I really enjoyed the first time I did Tableaux Vivant with Watson and the Shark at the NGA here in DC (pre shut down. Those were the days). I was Watson.
Museum Hack: What’s a fun fact that most people don’t know about you?
Jackie: I’m not a fan of roller coasters. People are always shocked when I say that. I do not like things that make me feel like I’m going to die.
Museum Hack: If you had to be trapped in the Museum overnight, what would you do?
Jackie: If I was trapped in the NGA, I would definitely swim in all of the fountains. And touch everything. Obviously.
Museum Hack: If you could work at any museum, which one would you choose?
Jackie: I would choose the Louvre! Or the Natural History Museum in NYC.
Museum Hack: If you were to be reincarnated as an animal, which would it be and why?
Jackie: Octopus just because I have no idea what that would feel like, and I very much want to find out.
