According to ICOM, there are at least 55,000 museums around the world – that’s a lot! Some of these museums, however,  are pretty obscure, with collections dedicated to the strange and specific.

Here’s some of our favorites from around the world:

Some Honorary Mentions:

The Museum of Broken Relationships – Los Angeles, CA

Museum of Medieval Torture Instruments – Amsterdam, Netherlands

The Dog Collar Museum – Kent, United Kingdom

Museum Of Vampires And Legendary Creatures – Paris, France

The Museum of Bad Art – Brookline and Somerville, Massachusetts, US

What’s your favorite museum with specific or a strange collection? Let us know in the comments.
