The holidays are the perfect time to plan an amazing team building event to say thanks to your team for a great year and build up excitement for the year to come.

Late last year, a legal team from New York City-based Schroders Global, an asset management firm with teams all around the world, approached us for help creating an amazing holiday party for their nine employees. We knew the Rubin Museum of Art would be the perfect fit for the group!

The Rubin, located in the Chelsea district of NYC, focuses on drawing connections between art and the culture of the Himalayas region to citizens of contemporary Western society. The museum opened in 2004 and has since hosted more than 1.4 million visitors in more than 100 different exhibits.

Our guests from Schroders enjoyed both a dinner at the museum’s cafe, as well as a zen tour of the museum.

A Dinner Party and Zen Tour

We knew the Rubin would create the perfect relaxed atmosphere for the small group from Schroders, and the museum’s impressive restaurant offerings helped craft a wonderful holiday dinner after the tour. With the help of the Rubin’s amazing collections, we provided Schroders with a custom, unique holiday party that was far more interactive (and fun!) than a typical dinner party. While enjoying themselves on their corporate zen tour, our guests learned incredible Buddhist secrets and tips on how to break the cycle of reincarnation, laughed at some really cool hats, and were treated to a VIP experience in one of the most impressive hidden gems in the city.

Everyone from Schroders had a wonderful experience with us at the Rubin Museum of Art! We talked to the company’s event organizer after the tour:

“We had an AMAZING time!!! Everyone on my team was so pleasantly surprised. They were unsure at my suggestion at first and did not know what to expect but I think everyone’s mind was blown! It was an incredible experience. THANK YOU very much! And btw – the food is bada** at the restaurant! Who knew!!!”

It’s never too soon to start thinking about your company’s holiday party! Let us help plan an event that’ll end the year with a bang – and get your team excited about what’s to come in the new year! Send us an email at [email protected]k.com or give us a ring at 1-800-210-9676.
