Want to know more about what we can offer your museum?  Our Audience Development team has helped museums around the world engage and re-engage audiences.

Our recent workshop with the Heart of the Civil War Heritage Area explored how storytelling helps to communicate historical information while creating memorable experiences for guests.  They faced the unique challenges of establishing a sense of place on the vast Monocracy Battlefield, balancing energy and fun with respect for hallowed ground, and engaging Millennial audiences while communicating historical significance.

In our 5 Elements of a Hack Workshop, we helped the HCWHA get all groups on the same page about their approach to interpretation, gave their staff fresh ideas to help innovate their current efforts, and fostered team building throughout the museum.  We even had our first-ever dance reenactment that explored the movements of troops on the battlefield in a fun way!  Check it out:

At the Freer Sackler Galleries, we hacked their Third Thursday Event to present unique, Hack-style tours of their collections.  Our guides took visitors on a whirlwind tour of the museum, including the famous Peacock Room – a gilded dining room designed by American artist James Abbott McNeill Whistler.  We also shared awesome games, activities, and behind-the-scenes glimpses that left visitors wanting more.

We’ve also worked with the California Academy of Sciences, Williams College of Art, and the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco. Learn how we’ve helped museums around the world with our audience development strategies.
