We love TED Talks.  The ideas and passions that shine through them inspire us.  Yet it wasn’t until recently we realized there are lots of great TED Talks about museums!

How I Learned to Stop Hating and Love Museums

Opening Up the Museum

The absolutely amazing Nina Simon, Executive Director of the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History and author of Museum 2.0, discusses her lifelong mission: to make museums spaces where “you can actively participate, where you can connect with culture, and hopefully with those experiences, connect more deeply with each other.”  She discusses her experiences as an executive director focused on opening up the museum, and shares two ideas as to how museums can open up their spaces and collections.  Watch her entire talk in the video below:
