Today, we’re talking to Cody, our PR Associate! Learn more about why Cody chose Museum Hack and how he’d throw his own Night at the Museum party if he got trapped in the building overnight.
MH: Why did you apply to work with Museum Hack?
Cody: I was searching for jobs that would allow me flexibility: to choose when I work, and from where I could work. And I was looking a place that would appreciate my college degree and work experience during college. And when I found Museum Hack, I knew it would be perfect for me! As I talked with Nick, he thought that there might be an even better position for me than the one I applied for – turns out, he was right. It’s been great to have a job that fits my personality and talents.
MH: Tell us about one of your favorite Museum Hack experiences.
Cody: Honestly, the way I got hired was great. Like I mentioned before, I had applied for a customer service position, and Nick called me and suggested that I would be a better fit in the marketing department. I didn’t even know it, but that was job I was looking for – it fits me perfectly.
MH: What’s a fun fact that most people don’t know about you?
Cody: I’ve been on a billboard. Not just like climbing up on one, although I have done that, my picture has been on a billboard ad that ran across my home city. #
MH: If you had to be trapped in the Museum overnight, what would you do?
Cody: I’d probably go and find a couple of statues and try to shake them awake – hoping that Night at the Museum was real. If that didn’t happen, I’d probably just try and read every possible bit of information until my brain was overwhelmed and eyes heavy.
MH: If you could work at any museum, which one would you choose?
Cody: Probably the Uffizi Gallery – it’s such a cool building, and home to many incredible pieces of art. I absolutely love Italy, and when I went on a trip there, I visited a lot of museums, but that one has stuck with me.
MH: If you were to be reincarnated as an animal, which would it be and why?
Cody: Probably a dog. I mean, who doesn’t like a dog? I want to be known for my loyalty, and friendliness – and a dog perfectly embodies those qualities.
