The Fraunces Tavern is a really, really cool spot for team building in New York City. It’s an American Revolution icon with a rich history. To take a walk through the museum today is to take a walk in the footsteps of George Washington during the American Revolution.
It’s a legendary building in New York City’s own backyard and it makes for an amazing evening at the museum with your staff.
As with our team building tours at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the American Museum of Natural History, we can completely customize our events at the Fraunces Tavern to company values and expectations. Emphasizing communication in the workplace? Our games and activities will help promote that. Focused on meeting deadlines and growing together as a team? We can plan an entire event around those principles. Or maybe your group just needs to blow off some steam and have a great time; we can do that, too.
Beyond’s Custom Team Building Tour At The Fraunces Tavern
Beyond is a digital marketing agency based in New York City. They wanted a fun, relaxing team building tour for their group of almost two dozen employees one night after work. With its flexible evening hours, the Fraunces Tavern is perfect for teams looking to come together after a long day at the office.
Beyond wanted an experience heavily customized to their company values, needs, and team building interests. We were happy to make that happen and set off to craft an incredible evening of company bonding for the group. We took the team back in time to an epic party at the Fraunces Tavern, with an experience that included fun, sometimes goofy, games and jaw-dropping colonial secrets that littered New York City’s past.
Our tours are all about thinking outside the box, engaging others, and showing teams how they can use our methods back at their office. We ran a storytelling workshop for Beyond’s group where we revealed the five major principles we use to make ordinary objects fascinating. We also led custom activities like Matchmaker Matchmaker and the Down to Party Challenge, which are fun ways to reveal sides of people’s personalities they may not typically show at work. Before heading home for the night, Beyond’s team enjoyed refreshing cocktails in the Tavern’s bar and restaurant.
With its amazing history, relaxed atmosphere, and fabulous bar and restaurant, the Fraunces Tavern is one of our favorite places to bring teams in New York City. After all, it doesn’t get much cooler than team building in the same room where George Washington once bid farewell to his troops after the American Revolution.
