Monday Funday: Art Mashups by Plus Sternchen

We’re so excited to introduce you to Plus Sternchen, an AWESOME street artist working in Dortmund, Germany. We connected with Plus to find out more about his current work: bringing old masters of fine art to the streets.

Plus Sternchen’s project is driven by his belief that everyone should have access to these works and “should see some art in their daily life.” (We agree!)

His unique project was inspired by Dortmund’s working class neighborhood and it’s huge decaying industrial complexes.

“A lot of people here won’t ever go in a museum, and the museums did not do enough to attract these people.” P told us that “the artistic challenge is to mix the artwork with a wall or a place.”

We think he is doing an AMAZING job of bringing these masters to the streets. Check out his work below and on his Instagram.
